1-      VISA: Citizens of Arabic countries do not need a visa.

2-       Other nationalities should get the visa from the Syrian embassy or consulate located next to their residence.

3-      Passport validity: Passport should have more than six-month validity the day of arrival to Syria and should not contain any stamp or visa from Israel.

4-      Airlines: Major European airlines have daily flights to Damascus or Aleppo  (British Airways, Air France-KLM, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Turkish …) and most Asian airlines have daily flights (Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi, Malaysian, Air Arabia,…) plus the national carrier MEA offering daily flights to Damascus or Aleppo from several European cities.

 

4-Weather: The weather in Aleppo is mild in spring and autumn with 300 days of sunshine per year, the temperature is around 25° C during the day and 18° C during the night. Light clothes are recommended for outdoors, offices, homes and cars are equipped with air-conditioning.

 

5-Aleppo Airport: The city center is 25 to 30 minutes drive from the airport. If we are notified about the flight details a week prior to your arrival you will be met at the passengers exit by a driver from SAFE TAXI holding a paper with your name.

If you miss the driver, Airport taxis are available at the front door of the airport (airport taxi yellow color) the fare to your hotel is around 10 Euros (500 L.S.).

 

6- Currency: the local is the Syrian Pound (SP) the conversion rate is 1€ = 58 SP.

7- Hotels: Many hotels are available in Aleppo (Hotel Sheraton, Didman- Parck hotel, Pullman…)

8- Aleppo University: The University has 2 campuses, one in Aleppo city, and the second in Idlep city 50 Km from Aleppo www.alepuniv.edu.sy
